  1. Alcohol-fed mice experienced a significant decrease in body weight at 2 and 7 days following muscle injury – an effect not apparent in injured, control-fed mice. However, injured alcohol-fed mice returned to their pre-injury body weight after 14 days of recovery from BaCl2 injection.
